CONNIE J. ORCUTT, D.V.M.
Diplomate ABVP (Avian Practice)
Section Head, Avian and Exotic Animal Medicine

"I am fortunate to have sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools available and to be able to consult daily with specialists in other fields who can help me elevate the standard of care for avian and exotic pets."

DR. CONNIE ORCUTT is board-certified in avian practice and has 12 years of experience working with small mammals, reptiles and other exotic pets. She is familiar with a large range of species and applies this knowledge through diagnostics and medical and surgical treatment in caring for “special species” patients. Dr. Orcutt heads a service of two staff clinicians, one resident and several technicians dedicated specifically to the care of small mammals (rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, etc.), birds, reptiles and other nontraditional pets. In addition to her clinical work at Angell, she is the medical editor of Exotic DVM magazine and a senior associate editor for the Journal of Avian Medicine and Surgery.
