Apple Veggie Seed Mix

1 apple chopped fine
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup fresh/frozen corn, cooked
1 cup greens chopped
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup wheatgerm
1/2 cup soy sugar-free fruit juice
1/4 cup buckwheat
1/4 cup groats
1/4 cup nuts, coarsely ground
1/4 cup soybeans, finely ground
1/8 cup olive oil
5 eggs with shell
left over rice or beans (optional)

Mix ingredients.
Grease 9×13 inch pan.
Bake 20 minutes at 400, then 30 minutes at 350 or until done.

Germinated Seed

1 part whole wheat
2 parts oats

Fill large jar half-way with seed.
Fill the rest of the jar with warm water.
Let jar sit 12-24 hours.
Drain water from seeds.
Rinse with Cold water.
You can get special lids from health food stores to germinate sprouts.
Rinse seeds twice daily.
Shake jar well to mix seeds so they do not go bad.
Serve moist not wet.

Millet Sprouts

millet sprigs
paper towels
water
darkness
sunlight

Line a ziplock bag with paper towels.
Put a millet sprig in the bag and spray water on it.
Spray until completely soaked.
Close bag and put in dark place.
Spray sprig a few times a day until it”s sprouting.
When it”s sprouting, remove from dark and remove paper towels.
Keep millet in bag and place in sunlight.
Spray with water a few times.
When sprouts turn green, feed to budgies!

Parakeet Mix

1 part hemp
1/2 part oat groats
2 parts white millet
3 parts canary seed

Mix ingredients and store.

Small Hookbill Mix

1 part canary seed
1 part hemp
1 part oat groats
1 part sunflower
1 part white millet
2 parts safflower

Mix ingredients well and store.
