is my my blue budgie a male or female?
i noticed that my blue budgie has a light grey iris which is shown at only sides,not fully.my green budgie eyes are fully black he is 4-6 months old.is my blue a male/female and can they mate?
Budgie Mating to the Extreme?!?
Ok. My friends budgies have been trying to mate for a while but they just could not seem to stay balanced and my friend got a little impatient. So he took the pair bonded budgies and put them in the mating position and did it himself and the birds seemed to enjoy it!!! Will the female lay eggs? Or not?
Why wont my female parakeet mate?
Ok well people say the females cere turns brownish or tanish and it looks all crusty but my parakeets cere is white and a little but of baby blue in it. How come it wont turn brown? Im pretty sure she is over a year old because i asked for a older budgie from the breeder because i owned older parakeets and didnt want to bring a baby parakeet home.
So do all females ceres turn brown when ready to mate?
I also put a nesting box in the cage 5 days ago.

i have 2 budgies and they are acting so weird idk if ones gonna lay an egg or their gonan mate. so i put a homemade nesting box in the cage and put covers over it for heat and privacy. now all i hear is chirping and the cage shaking. 1: what are they doing? 2: will that be enough privacy for them
