R.I.P Maestro. :(?

Yesterday I posted asking about how to help my pet budgie feel better since he seemed to be sick, I put a heater next to his cage with a thermometer attatched near his perch so I would know that the temp was just right for him. I also tried feeding him some apple juice for energy with an eyedropper since he wasn’t eating or drinking.. but he wouldn’t take it. I was supposed to take him to the vet today, but when I woke up this morning he was still sleeping, and when I went back downstairs 30 mins later he was on the floor lifeless.. :’( I just wish I could’ve been there for him, and after he passed I searched more about budgies, I read that they mask their illness until the near moment of death by instinct like many other people said. I hope other people in the future will know that, if they ever see their bird showing symptons of illness, take them to an avian vet immediately because it is very seious by then and every minute counts .. :( I miss you Maestro!

I have a sick budgie (parakeet)?

when she eats, she just throws it back up. her poop is black and runny. poor thing looks sick too. btw i can’t take her to the vet today, all the vets where i live want the money up front, so i can’t take my birdie to the vet until i get paid. i’m looking for any home remedies or something i can pickup at the pet store.
took my birdie to the avian vet, turns out it’s a respitory infection, got some antibiotics (strawberry yum!). Petey (my budgie) has improved. Poops are back to a nice shade of green and less runny. Petey also has her appetite back. Thanks to everyone who answered.

can breeding budgie female take antibiotics?

my female budgie was injured by another female who entered her nest, she is now all hurt. I seperated her from all others. So far she has layed 4 eggs, I usually give my injured budgies (tetracicline powder with water, avian vet prescribed) can i give my female the antibiotics even if shes in the middle of laying eggs???

How do you fix a splayed leg in a baby budgie?

I noticed that my baby budgie of 3 weeks or so has a splayed leg? Is it too late to fix and how do you fix it? Is it expensive to take to the avian vet to fix? If not fixed will bird be ok?

help for a sick budgie?

2 days ago my budgie wasn’t chirping anymore, her appetite isn’t completely there anymore, she appears to have a hunched back and was a little fluffed. I removed her from the cage because my older budgie tried to kill her, now i have her put into a box with water and food, half newspaper, half towel for her to lay on and i put a towel over the top so its dark and my room is very warm and quiet. when she tries to walk she keeps flopping over and her feet gets caught up in her wing. i live in newfoundland and there’s no avian vet around, closest one is in ontario.

my budgie is only about 8 or 9 months old.
so if you have any help please share : )
her eyes are also clear, her feathers look fine, around her bum there is no wetness, and her nost isn’t runny.
