Baby budgie first steps
Dee & Peri’s first egg hatched on Monday, August 10th and this is their first baby. We expect to have two more eggs hatch before the end of next week for a total of three baby budgies. This short clip shows the baby trying to stand up, even though it’s eyes aren’t even open yet. It’s a bit blurry, but better video to follow as the babies grow.

Help me with my budgies?
I have had 2 budgies for a couple of months. They are only young i presume as they are quite small. They are supposed to be a male & a hen but how do i tell the difference? Will she have babies? I have never looked after birds before. They have a big cage, plenty of food, water toys & treats but they wont come anywhere near me & just get themselves in to a state when i put my hand in the cage! They seem happy enough chirping away. Will they ever become tame?
