Putting two Budgies together?

Ive put my Budgie with my sisters seeing she moved away, and all they seem to be doing so far is talking a little, biting each others beaks, and mine keeps putting hes foot in my sisters birds face.

Also one will move closer to one, and the other will walk away.. they seem to both be doing that..

How can you tell what gender your pet budgies are?

I have two pet budgies and I’ve been wondering whether they are male or female.

One is named Charlie, the other is named Sugar.

I’ve heard about determining the sex through the budgie’s cere.
So it’s blue for a male and brown for a female, right?

Well my budgies are a few months old now and they still have not gotten the colours on their cere! Are they late developers? Is there something wrong with them?

Sugar’s cere is purple and Charlie’s cere isn’t really any colour.

I heard that it can take up to six weeks for budgies to develop their cere colour, but I bought them when they were about 7 weeks old, so by now they are at least around 25 weeks old. I am a bit worried as the colour hasn’t changed/appeared yet.

Could you please tell me if this is common, if there is something wrong with them or how you can determine their sex through behaviour etc.?

All answers are appreciated x

Is it better to own One or two budgies?

I’ve previously owned birds before, I’ve had a budgie, and then two Zebra Finches after it died.
The cage i had was pretty small, not miniscule, but enough for them to use to live in at night, and in the day i would just leave the door open, and allow them to fly freely. never had a problem with any birds.

I want to buy another cage for a bird, but a lot bigger this time, i feel that perhaps the larger space would be good for it, but because of the cage size i want would that be too large for a single budgie on its own?

Is it better to own two? does it help tame them? or is it worse for their behaviour? or does it help them feel more like they’re socialising?

Thanks

Budgies and Cockatiels?

I have a budgie and a cockatiel and sometimes they will sit on one foot, is something wrong with them? or is it just natural??

My budgie’s cere is a slightly brownish red color. What could this mean?

I have just noticed right now that her cere is a slightly brownish red color at the bottom and her nostril is a white and pale-ish brown color.
I’m worried that she could be sick.
She is eating properly and cleaning herself.
I see no blood, and her condition seems fine, but I am unsure of what this means.
I am new to the avian world and my lack of experience has made me very panicky.
Answers would be greatly appreciated.
