Baby budgie first steps

Dee & Peri’s first egg hatched on Monday, August 10th and this is their first baby. We expect to have two more eggs hatch before the end of next week for a total of three baby budgies. This short clip shows the baby trying to stand up, even though it’s eyes aren’t even open yet. It’s a bit blurry, but better video to follow as the babies grow.

Help with my parakeets please?

Hello. I bought two parakeets (they’re probably budgies, but I’m not really sure what the difference is) about two weeks ago. I know it’s too soon for them to trust me, so I don’t worry when they scoot away from my hand.

But when I put fresh fruit in their feeder (the same kind they got back at the store) they won’t eat it. In fact, whenever I give my male a halved blueberry he sits on it like an egg. I give them millet as a treat, but it looks like one eats that more than his food. Is this normal?

Also,I’ve heard from contradicting sources what it means when parakeets fluff up their feathers. The lady in the store and several articles I’ve read have told me that it means your parakeet is content. But every bird owner I’ve asked tells me it means my parakeet is agitated or scared. Which is it?

Also my male does a lot of running back and forth on the perch, chirping loudly. At first I thought he was dancing, but now I’m not sure…Is he okay?

I’d really appreciate any help. Thanks!

Help With Budgie Cage?

Hello, I’m Manny, I Own 7 Budgie’s And 1 Of My Female Budgie Is Currently In The Process Of Laying Egg’s. So Far She Has 1. I Was Wondering If My Cage Was Big Enough For all 7 Of Them Including The Ones That Are Coming Up. My Cage Is 36 1/2 Inches Tall (About 3 Feet) 22 1/2 Inches Wide(about 2 Feet) And 48 1/2 Inches Long(About 4 Feet), I’m Assuming That That’s Big Enough. I Hope So And Thank’s! :)

I have major problems. first time ever laying my budgie last last wednesday and has not layed since?

I made the mistake of having all four budgies in one cage, I’ve since seperated them. The day after the budgie layed the other female went in and threw out the egg. She has not been back in the box and layed since. She is mostly sleeping and will go eat. Do you think that the eggs that she should have layed is causing her to be sick or she will lay again eventually. Really worried and concern
