I need to make a checklist for parakeets?
I had to let my friend take care of my parakeets because I will be going on a vacation in a few days. But he asked me for budgie checklist. What should I include in my checklist? Food, daily and weekly and monthly cleaning? Bathing? Any suggestions. This question is for bird experts or bird owners. Thank you.

Starting off with two budgies for the first time, good when training?
Well, I started off with 2 budgies (genders still not known). For the past few days I’ve seen the two birds fighting for their food and generally other things. (The fights only happen sometimes.) Soo far, I’ve had my two birds for 4 days, including today and yet they fight. Because of this I have to watch them fight. When I want to start getting along so I can start training, they fight when it comes to bulding the trust which was a pain when it came to the finger perch training that made the two distracted from the training, which I think I will have to do later on and keep building that trust for afew more days…was my choice good for buying 2 budgies at once? Also, should I stop the perch training for another time? If so, when excactly?
Ok, maybe I wasn’t as sure about the little fights my two birds do. I have asked a past budgie owner about the fights the two do, apparently they are just playing! When I start to feed them, they rarely fight, more like looking out for each other by letting the other try it to see if it can be trusted, soo far they’ve been really quiet and also they sit by each other, but I don’t know…what do you think? Thanks again for the answers, hope my extra information will give a better answer!

How can I catch my budgie?
Everytime I let him out his cage he becomes impossible to catch again. There’s been times he has been out for a few days at a time.
One time my brother only managed to catch him at night when he was sleeping.
I’ve tried everything to get him back in, even tempting him with food but nothing works.
Help?

parakeet intro questions?
Well I finally decided to get my budgie Zuri a buddy. I’m home with Zuri all day just about, but she just has no drive to play, maybe she never learned how or something.. i dunno. But she just seemed to need more in her life than just me. So today we got Zorro. He came from a vet rescue, so he’s in perfect health. He’s in a seperate cage right now next to Zuri’s. Not close enough for them to peck through the bars at one another though. I let them both out in the bedroom that’s the playroom for them, and they found each other and sat right next to each other, and just about fell asleep. They are both under a year old, and i’m wondering if say.. like in 2 days i could put them together in Zuri’s large cage, or if I should slowly introduce it. I’ve read mixed things on introducing parakeets. I’ve read that they should be good together in the same cage after a few days of seperated cages, and time out together. And i’ve read wait a week or two or more and slowly introduce them like you would with a new dog. Zuri seems very interested in Zorro, he just wants to hang out as close as he can get to Zorro. But i freaked myself out that they were going to fight, and distracted Zuri. They seem like they will get along great, but i’m nervous that once put in the same cage, Zuri will flip and a fight will ensue. Whats the real deal here with introducing two parakeets?!?! Can I clean Zuri’s toys and cage and then let zorro just wander on in?
If a fight does happen, how serious can it get ?
And if they fight, will they ever be able to live together, is one fight all it takes to make enemies?!
So no one else gets confused, this wasn’t an avian rescue. This bird is from my vet who took care of zorro and is free of mites or parasites etc. Zorro got a full check up before coming home.
