How big should my future parrotlet’s cage be?

I am going to get a parrotlet because my budgie died,
My budgie had a large parrakeet cage 20 by sixteen in.
Do you think that My parakeet’s old cage is big anough for a parrotlet. I would let it out a lot every day.

Thanks!!

I want to bring my Budgie/Parakeet out of it’s cage to exercise. but she is avoiding my hand?

OK… so I’ve had this Parakeet since fathers day. The day after we got her we brought her in my bathroom to fly. It was SO hard to get her out and she nearly killed herself when she was out. So we haven’t taken her out since.. no way. Now today I try to take her out with the windows and mirrors covered, and she won’t come out! She flies away from my hand and clings to the side of her cage. I even left the door opened and she just stares!I feel so bad for her because she just sits there all day and all we can do is talk to her and sing and read. She also doesn’t play with her toys! We have a swing with a bell on it and a ladder w/a mirror. She doesn’t even know how to sit on my finger because everytime I put my hand in the cage, like I said, she clings to the side until my hand is out of there.

My poor bird, what can I do? I feel so bad.

Our budgie/parakeet still pretends to ‘feed’ his cage/dishes/perch etc, what can I do to stop him?

Our male budgie now has a mate in his cage (also male), and he still tries to ‘feed’ objects in his cage by regurgitating. It really smells. He seems to be eating seed enough himself, its just he keeps bringing up the seed to ‘feed’ what we think, he thinks is a mate or a baby… We have asked similar questions before, as we had the budgie by himself originally, and the vote was for us to get him a mate as he was probably lonley/bored. We did that and we are now disappointed that he still has this smelly habit. The two budgies get along fine together, we want to know, will he eventually stop with the regurgitation? Any toys we put in there too he seems to vomit on as well… His vomit is about 1-2 inches each time, does that make sense? Help!!

Can I have one English Budgie and one American Parakeet in the same cage together?

I know that both species do get a long together, but can I just pair one with another? Or do I need to have at least 2 of each? It’s because right now I have an American Parakeet and want him to have a friend, so he’s not so lonely So what should I do?.
