okay, so my friend has a lorikeet and she gives him a drink made out of fresh juice from fruits like papayas and a little bit of soy milk as a treat…im not sure what the exact recipe was but her bird seemed to really like it so i was just wondering if anyone had a recipe for a drink that i could give my parakeet just as a treat tho cuz i know they should drink mostly water

They can eat anything with fruit, so trying blending some of his favorite fruits together. Try using berries, and other fruit or veggies that aren’t too strong in taste, like beets or radishes. (Nothing spicy and no onions.) I don’t suggest anything too hot or cold just for their health and safety.
I like to make a fruit smoothie and freeze it in ice cube trays and feed the bird an ice cube every night. (i found that it helps them sleep to)
